Light the World Church is a beacon of hope for all those in Nansana, and from all over Kampala. Our core team of Ugandan leaders started and pastors the church, and most of CLD’s Ugandan project leaders all attend and are involved. It’s great to have such strong relationships and connections with a vast and growing community. Since 2004 it has grown to about 1000 members! Our relief teams have the opportunity to pour out into the different Bible Studies, youth groups, mass choir, and Sunday school programs at LTWC, continuing to build relationships and empower future leaders.
This is the real ministry behind our Kids Home, and the best part is that it’s completely Ugandan run. Our belief is that Ugandan’s know how to best change things in Uganda (imagine that!). They know their own culture, background, and kids more than we ever could. Our role is to come alongside MCM supporting them with the necessary resources, and teamwork so that they are empowered to help the kids the best way possible.
